I Have Permission To Be Me

I Have Permission to Be Me!

I am giving myself permission from now on!

Permission to make mistakes, permission to have bad days, permission to fail, permission to get it wrong.

However, I am NOT giving my permission to be mean. No, I may not hurt those around me. I am not allowed to bring others down with me. I will not spread dissension, lies, or gossip to make others feel like I do.

When I make a mistake, I will stop and decide if there’s a lesson to be learned. But I will own that mistake! When I have a bad day, I will pause and discern where the attitude started. When I fail, I will pick myself up and start again. When I am wrong, I will admit my error.

Yes, there will be bad days without a reason, I will make mistakes that have no lesson, I will fail, repeatedly, and I will be wrong. I am human, after all.

I Have Permission-You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for! - Katy Kaumeyer

I choose to live by choice, not by chance.

I choose to make changes, not excuses.

I choose to be motivated, not manipulated.

I choose to be useful, not used.

I choose to excel, not compete.

I choose self-esteem, not self-pity.

I choose to listen to my inner voice, not the random opinion of others.

Too often we believe we have to get approval or permission to go after what our heart desires, or what we want in life. Here’s the truth: you are someone. You do matter, your opinion counts. Your approval is worthy. You can give yourself permission! Give yourself grace. Forgive yourself. Allow yourself to heal. You can move forward. You can make a difference without someone else showing you affirmation.

I spent many years in a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship. I understand how hard it is to go out on your own. To be enough. To lose the voice in your head that tells you how unworthy you think you are. To hear those nasty words expressing their unbelief in your ability to make a difference or offer worthwhile advice to someone.

Believe me, YOU have something to contribute to those around you. Somewhere, someone is waiting for you to share your story. To share your knowledge and expertise. You have value, please believe in yourself. And if you can’t find others to surround yourself with who will believe in you until you can believe in yourself. There are groups out there waiting to welcome you in and celebrate you.

I have found an amazing group of women called Polka Dot Powerhouse. It’s not your normal networking, it’s all about building relationships to support and celebrate each other. You don’t even have to run a business or work at a job. You can join and have instant friends worldwide!
