I am giving myself permission this year.

Permission to make mistakes, permission to have bad days, permission to fail, permission to get it wrong.

However, I am NOT giving my permission to be mean. No, I may not hurt those around me. I am not allowed to bring others down with me. I will not spread dissension, lies, or gossip to make others feel like I do.

When I make a mistake, I will stop and decide if there’s a lesson to be learned. When I have a bad day, I will pause and discern where the attitude started. When I fail, I will pick myself up and start again. When I am wrong, I will admit my error.

But there will be bad days without a reason, I will make mistakes that have no lesson, I will fail, repeatedly, and I will be wrong. I am human, after all.

I choose to live by choice, not by chance.

I choose to make changes, not excuses.

I am someone, I approve. I give myself permission to move forward with my full support.

I Give Myself Permission

I choose to be motivated, not manipulated.

I choose to be useful, not used.

I choose to excel, not compete.

I choose self-esteem, not self-pity.

I choose to listen to my inner voice, not the random opinion of others.
